The pressure and uncertainty that many people are feeling now, with rising prices and deflated real estate values can become very challenging.  People are experiencing depression, anxiety, and even hopelessness about what’s ahead.

During challenging times, it is more important than ever before to observe the things you are thinking and feeling.  Sadness, depression, and anxiety are all emotional and mental states.  Yet what is important to THRIVE is to remember that these mental states are only temporary experiences that can be changed.

So how can you rid yourself of negative emotions?

Reflect and observe your thoughts and feelings in the moment.  Imagine yourself completely separate from the experience.  Remember successful moments and joyful experiences you have created in the past.

Put a smile on your face and begin to move away from thoughts that don’t serve you well.  If that doesn’t work, begin to journal your successes and positive outcomes until you feel your mood beginning to shift.

Next formulate a positive plan of ACTION.  Continue to journal solutions to your situation.

How can you begin to solve your situation, obstacle or challenge?

Catch yourself when negative thoughts rise up and squash them with positive solutions. Support yourself by understanding that experiences will come and go, lessons will be learned and life will always change and move forward.

During challenging times THRIVERS get more creative and work harder!

What are you doing to survive and thrive in challenging times?
