I just returned from NYC where I attended the National Speakers Convention at the Marriott in Times Square. Very exciting! The theme of the convention was NSA Rocks. Everything was about rock stars and rocking your career to the next level. We even had the Beatles there (well not the real Beatles - only 2 said yes). Opening night we dressed up like we where attending a rock concert and it was like going to a fun halloween party.
Since becoming a member of NSA 13 years ago I have only missed one convention. It's my time of year to get my own shot of motivation. This year was one of the best marketed convention in years. I learned a lot about marketing from this convention. Even in a down turn economy your success rate can be HUGE when you build something people are really excited about. They began marketing it a year ago and carried the theme of the event thru all the way. I was impressed with the huge turn out of nearly 3,000 type-A++++ personalities who showed up. Rock On! Debbie
